Olivia Smith's stunning solo strike for Liverpool against Brighton & Hove Albion has been nominated for the Barclays Women's Super League Goal of the Month award.

The attacker netted the opener in a 2-1 victory over the Seagulls at St Helens Stadium, driving from the right flank to the box before finishing high into the net.

Smith's goal is in contention for the monthly prize alongside Veatriki Sarri (Everton), Catarina Macario (Chelsea), Aggie Beever-Jones (Chelsea), Sandy Baltimore (Chelsea), Vivianne Miedema (Manchester City), Mary Fowler (Manchester City) and Olivia Holdt (Tottenham Hotspur).
