Liverpool’s Netherlands internationals have learned their country’s new head coach.

It was announced on Wednesday that former FC Barcelona and Spain star Xavi Hernandez has been appointed the next Dutch boss, taking over from Ronald Koeman.

He has agreed a deal up to the 2030 World Cup.

Long-serving Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Virgil van Dijk were all part of the Netherlands squad at the World Cup this past summer, while Jeremie Frimpong has 15 caps to date.
