By Liverpool FC
A figure of 59,947 supporters were inside the stadium to watch the Premier League contest, which ended 1-1.
The total surpasses the 59,896 who attended the Reds’ 3-1 victory over Burnley in February, with that number having bettered the previous league record (58,757) set in 1949 for a 2-2 draw with Chelsea.
Anfield’s all-time record attendance remains the 2-1 FA Cup win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in February 1952, watched by 61,905.
