NewsNat Phillips sends thank you message to Liverpool supporters
The defender completed a permanent move to West Bromwich Albion, nine years on from first linking up with the Reds’ Academy.
Phillips progressed through the ranks at the club to make 29 senior appearances, which included a crucial spell during the 2020-21 season as he helped Jürgen Klopp’s team overcome an injury crisis to secure Champions League qualification.
“Thank you for all the memories, love and support,” he posted on social media.
“This club has been a huge part of my life and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities it’s given me and the people on and off the pitch who I have been fortunate to meet along the way.
“It’s been an absolute honour to represent Liverpool FC and one that I will be forever proud of.
“Lastly, a special thank you to the fans, whose support I have felt continuously. I wish the club and all involved the very best of luck for the future. YNWA.”
