NewsMohamed Salah voted Standard Chartered Player of the Month
Mohamed Salah has been voted Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month for September.
The Egyptian topped a fan poll on Liverpoolfc.com, just ahead of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alisson Becker, to recognise his fine form during the period.
Salah had a goal contribution in all but one of his appearances in September, scoring three times and producing a pair of assists.
After collecting the award at the AXA Training Centre, he told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's a good feeling to help the team to win games, which is the important thing.
"Overall, everything is fine. We are happy with the results we had in this month. That's the important thing.
"Every award you win with the supporters you feel the love and support they give you. It's something I am happy about."
Salah completed the scoring in a 3-0 victory at home to Aston Villa to open the month, before assisting Cody Gakpo and Andy Robertson in the come-from-behind win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He then came off the bench to net in the Europa League opener at LASK and followed that up with a converted penalty against West Ham United.
Assessing his start to the season, the forward continued: "It's a good start. We all had a good start, not just myself – from other players as well.
"As a team, we are doing good and we try to win the games, which is the most important thing. We had good results in this month.
"It's really good because it's really important to start the season well, so you can keep fighting for everything.
"If you're struggling you just need to keep fighting just to get the rhythm and the momentum. But when you start the season well, you just have a good vision and it makes everything easier during the season."
