By Chris Shaw
With the assist for Luis Diaz’s opening strike in Sunday’s 2-1 Anfield win over West Ham United, the Liverpool No.11 increased his tally of goal involvements in the top flight this term to 45 (27 goals, 18 assists).
That is the highest such figure any player has ever produced in a 38-game Premier League campaign.
His assist tally is also the most in the division since Kevin De Bruyne racked up 20 for Manchester City during the 2019-20 season.
