Securing the three points against Brentford was all that mattered to Mohamed Salah on a day when he reached a number of significant Liverpool milestones.

The Egyptian's 13th-minute goal on Saturday evening extended the Reds' winning run in the Premier League to six games.

The close-range finish was his 100th at Anfield and took him into joint-fifth place on the club's all-time scorers list, level with Steven Gerrard.

It was his 30th effort of the season in all competitions and saw him become the first player in the club's history to net in nine consecutive home games.

Read on for Sky Sports' post-match interview with Salah as he reacts to those landmarks and another important victory...

Liverpool 1-0 Brentford: Highlights

On the win...

We need to keep winning, so that was the main thing for us today. I'm glad that we did. Nothing mattered more than three points. Everybody was happy in the dressing room – that's great. We just need to keep going.

On what scoring 100 Anfield goals means to him...

It means a lot to me. I said before, I feel [at] home here, I'm happy. We just need to finish the season [in] the best possible way. But as much as I'm scoring goals, the team winning games – that's the most important thing.

On reaching the 30-goal mark for the fourth time as a Red and scoring in nine consecutive home games...

It's something that makes me proud, to be fair. I work really hard and everybody knows that, everybody sees that. I'm just motivated to keep breaking records and just scoring goals and winning games for the team.

On his goal against Brentford...

I would like to score better than that but I take it if it gives us the three points!

On what the three points mean...

I take it game by game and we don't want to think further. We just take it game by game and we see what will happen.

On whether the team feels 'more stable'...

I think we improved a lot [in the] last couple of weeks. We've won six in a row, as you said, we had a couple or a few clean sheets, which is really important for us because once you don't concede a goal, you just need to win 1-0 and that's it. That's what happened in this game and last game. We are more stable at the moment in the team and we need to carry on because I think there's three games left, so we just need to carry on.

On his assessment of Liverpool's form...

Take it game by game and just see. We don't need to be overconfident. I think we train really well and everybody is happy to play. We have a good group, we play together for five, six years, so that's the most important thing – that we respect each other and we fight hard.
