The Liverpool forward is one of three remaining contenders for the prize after an initial shortlist of 10 was reduced on Sunday.
Salah, whose calendar year included a starring role as the Reds won the Premier League and helping Egypt qualify for next summer’s World Cup, is up against Achraf Hakimi and Victor Osimhen.
The winner will be announced at the CAF Awards ceremony on Wednesday (November 19) in Rabat, Morocco.
