Mohamed Salah equalled Steven Gerrard for the most goals scored in Premier League Merseyside derby fixtures.

Liverpool's No.11 broke the deadlock at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday from a low Cody Gakpo cross to net his ninth goal in the fixture in the league.

Salah's effort saw him become the Reds' joint-top-scoring player versus the Blues in the Premier League alongside Gerrard.

Virgil van Dijk converted a header in the 100th minute to earn a 2-1 victory in the clash for Arne Slot's side.
