Mohamed Salah was named in Egypt’s initial World Cup squad today.

The forward is set to represent the Pharaohs at the tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada following the conclusion of his iconic Liverpool career at the end of the club campaign.

Egypt announced a 27-man squad that will be reduced by one next week.

They are in Group G at the World Cup and will face Belgium (June 15), New Zealand (June 22) and IR Iran (June 27).
