Mohamed Salah will not feature in Egypt’s fixture on Monday, with the Liverpool forward to be rested.

Salah played the whole game on Friday as his country were beaten 2-0 by Uzbekistan in a friendly held in Al Ain, UAE.

On Saturday, the Egyptian FA announced he will be excused for their second match of the November international window, against Cape Verde in Dubai.

Salah is set to return to Reds duty next week, with Arne Slot’s side resuming the club campaign by hosting Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday November 22.
