FeatureMohamed Salah and Sadio Mane's tribute to Roberto Firmino: 'We did incredible things together'
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane reflect on the unforgettable success they shared together with Roberto Firmino in the concluding episode of LFC Original 'Bobby'.
After joining forces as a trio when Salah followed Firmino and Mane to Anfield in 2017, they became one of the most prolific attacking combinations in the club's history.
Leading from the front for Jürgen Klopp's team, they scored a total of 338 goals across five seasons in tandem – and played key roles in the Reds lifting the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup trophies.
In the third and final instalment of Bobby, our brand-new series telling the story of Firmino's remarkable rise ahead of his departure this summer, Salah and Mane describe their appreciation for the No.9 they flanked to such incredible effect.

"I think [it's] his ability to do everything in the game and also to sacrifice himself for the team," says Salah.
"He just plays for the team. He doesn't really care about scoring that much, he just wants to enjoy his game and just play football and wants the team to win.
"I think he's one of the ones [who has] been loved the most because everybody likes him. He's really calm, always smiling. And as I said before, when you see someone sacrifice himself for the team, you see everybody loves him here."

Mane, who bid his own farewell to the club last summer, says: "I think we did incredible things together. I am so grateful. I think Bobby is a special player. For me, wow, what a No.9."
The Senegal forward continues: "As a person I think he is the most positive guy.
"I learned a lot from him myself because sometimes when I'm not playing, on the bench or whatever, he knows me. He tells me to stay calm, he knows me... stay calm, positive, no problem. This kind of person is not easy to find... in the pitch, out of the pitch, I learned a lot from him.
"He has the ability to turn easily [with] the ball, not always playing the backpass, he always tries to find solutions. I think he changed everything."
Working together, the trio punished defences both domestically and across Europe – developing into a force that would become feared and revered within the game.
All three have earned a cherished place in club folklore and in concluding his tribute to Firmino, Salah underlines the legacy the Brazilian has left across his eight years on Merseyside.
"[He will be remembered as] a great," the No.11 finishes. "He is going be one of the best players to ever play for Liverpool.
"He won the Premier League and Champions League and all the cups. He won everything with the club and he's one of the best ever to play for Liverpool."
