NewsMohamed Salah and Egypt defeated by Senegal in AFCON semi-final

Liverpool’s No.11 captained his country in Tangier but it was Senegal who advanced to Sunday’s final thanks to a late goal by former Red Sadio Mane.
Senegal dominated for lengthy spells, with Egypt only able to threaten sparsely on the counter-attack.
Salah’s side did impose themselves in the aftermath of Mane’s 78th-minute strike – a drilled, low effort from 20 yards – but were unable to force an equaliser.
Egypt will now face either Morocco or Nigeria in the third-place play-off game on Saturday.
