Mohamed Salah’s stoppage-time Merseyside derby strike has won Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award for October.

The No.11 sealed victory for the Reds against Everton at Anfield as he finished off a slick counter-attack in front of the Kop.

Alexis Mac Allister had accelerated the breakaway with a pass to Darwin Nunez and he powered forward before sliding an assist to Salah, who dispatched a cool, first-time effort into the net.

That goal claimed top spot in our fan poll for October, narrowly ahead of Diogo Jota’s solo dribble and finish in the Europa League clash with Toulouse.

Salah’s first of two strikes at Brighton & Hove Albion was voted third and Wataru Endo’s header against Toulouse was fourth.

Rounding out the top five – which you can watch again in the video below – was Trey Nyoni’s classy individual goal for the U18s versus Fulham.
