NewsMo Salah features in Egypt friendly win ahead of AFCON
Mohamed Salah helped Egypt to a 2-0 victory over Tanzania in a friendly on Sunday.
The Liverpool forward played the whole of his country’s warm-up fixture ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations - and was involved in both goals.
Salah’s assist - a first-time through ball - set up Trezeguet to score the opening goal during the first half of the encounter in Cairo.
After the break, his 73rd-minute penalty hit the crossbar, deflected back off Tanzania goalkeeper Aishi Manula and found the net.
Next up for Egypt is their first match of the AFCON group stage, which comes against Mozambique on January 14.
