The attacker moved clear of Thierry Henry on the chart by scoring his 52nd goal in the competition during Liverpool's league-phase opener with Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
Including qualifiers, 46 of Salah's tally have been during his time with the Reds.
The Egyptian's first five Champions League goals came as a player of FC Basel and he also scored once for AS Roma.
