NewsMissy Bo Kearns nominated for PFA Women's Young Player of the Year award
The Liverpool FC Women midfielder enjoyed a fine first full season in the Barclays Women's Super League, featuring in every top-flight game in 2022-23 and scoring five times.
The 22-year-old Academy product has been with the club since the age of eight and just last week extended her contract with the team she has supported all her life.
Kearns' efforts in 2022-23 saw her named the club's Standard Chartered Player of the Season. She also picked up the LFC Women Supporters Club Young Player of the Season award and was named Young Player of the Year at the Women's Football Awards.
The England U23 international's PFA nomination sees her shortlisted alongside Lauren Hemp of Manchester City, who is hoping to win the award for the fourth year in a row, Laura Blindkilde (Aston Villa), Lauren James (Chelsea), Maya Le Tissier (Manchester United) and Katie Robinson (Brighton & Hove Albion).
The winner will be announced at the 50th PFA Awards ceremony on August 29.
