Micky van de Ven has responded to transfer speculation linking him with Liverpool after admitting he would like to move to the Premier League this summer.

Reports in Germany have claimed the Reds are interested in the VfL Wolfsburg centre-back, after the man who signed him for the Bundesliga outfit, Jorg Schmadtke, was appointed sporting director at Anfield at the start of the month.

Liverpool are in the market for a left-sided central defender this summer, with Van de Ven fitting that profile, but the ECHO understands the Reds have not registered any official interest in the 22-year-old at this time.
