The 20-year-old links up with the USL Championship team for the duration of their 2022 campaign, with the new league season set to begin next month.
Ritaccio, who was born in New York and also holds an Italian passport, joined the Reds back in August 2018 and was part of the FA Youth Cup-winning U18s squad during his debut year on Merseyside.
He signed a first professional contract at the club in November 2019 and penned fresh terms last May.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Battery this season and am looking forward to getting to work,” said Ritaccio.
“The move to play in the USL Championship will be a great challenge for me that will help me grow. Having the opportunity to share the field with experienced professionals in this league is something I will embrace.”
