Marc Guehi continues to be heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as Arne Slot hopes to bolster his backline before the summer transfer window slams shut.

The Reds only have a week or so to wrap up a deal for the Crystal Palace defender, who's recently entered the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park.

Should the Premier League champions fail to agree a deal with Steve Parish before 7pm on September 1, they can always pick up from where they left off in the new year.

However, from January, foreign clubs will be eligible to open talks with Guehi over a free transfer in the summer of 2026.
