Mao Itamura has been called up to the Japan squad for the forthcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The Liverpool FC Women attacker’s place in her country’s selection to compete at the tournament in Poland was confirmed this morning.

Japan are in Group D and will face New Zealand (September 6), USA (September 9) and Italy (September 12).
