Fluminense midfielder Andre has opened the door to signing for Liverpool during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old has confirmed he turned down the chance to secure a move to an unnamed side during the summer, having been persuaded by his club manager Fernando Diniz to remain put and help fight for the Copa Libertadores trophy.

His decision to show loyalty to Fluminense has paid off, subsequently reaching the final of the historic South American club competition to set up a colossal showdown with Boca Juniors on November 4.
