Liverpool are closing in on their third signing of the transfer window as a deal for Wataru Endo nears.

The Reds made Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai their first two deals of the summer, though activity in the market has since slowed for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Endo is expected to be the next player through the door, though it is unlikely the Japan international will be the last midfielder to arrive at Anfield before September 1.
