WatchMan City thriller finishes third in vote for best PL match

To celebrate Carlsberg’s 30th year of partnership with the club, we took a poll of fans to select the Reds’ greatest top-flight encounters during that period.

Finishing in third place was an epic clash with City at Anfield that saw Jürgen Klopp’s team impressively overpower the eventual champions.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s precise low drive kicked off the scoring and there were further brilliant strikes by Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah as Liverpool at one point led 4-1.
