AcademyLuke Chambers signs new Liverpool FC contract
The 18-year-old defender has already enjoyed a fine summer, winning the U19 European Championship with England.
Chambers recently travelled on the pre-season tour to Thailand and Singapore with Jürgen Klopp’s first team, starting against Manchester United and coming on as a substitute in the clash with Crystal Palace.
A versatile player who can operate at left-back or in central defence, Chambers took the captain’s armband on many occasions for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s U18s team last season.
He ended the 2021-22 campaign with nine goals, with many coming from the penalty spot as a set-piece specialist.
Preston-born, Chambers has been attending the Academy since the age of six and now extends his stay with the Reds after signing his first professional contract last year.
