Lucy Parry says she is hoping to build on her impressive cameo against Tottenham Hotspur Women in Sunday's Adobe Women's FA Cup tie at London City Lionesses.

Liverpool FC Women's youngest ever player came on and gave Matt Beard's side impetus as they fought back from a goal down to gain a 1-1 draw versus Spurs with a late equaliser at Prenton Park last Sunday.

After leaving home for the first time and spending last season on loan in Scotland with Hibernian Women, the 19-year-old has been a regular member of the Reds squad this campaign with some impressive displays from the bench.

Indeed, Beard said in his weekly column on Liverpoolfc.com that Parry is pushing Emma Koivisto for the right wing-back role.

Ahead of the Women's FA Cup fifth-round trip to London City Lionesses (kick-off 2pm GMT), the No.32 spoke to Liverpoolfc.com to reflect on an encouraging season so far…

On the spirit and determination in the team to fight back against Spurs…

We knew we could get something from the game and we never gave up. When I came on I just tried to get forward and help the team, and I even think we could have won it in the end. We've had a tough run of fixtures but we have all stuck together and it was good to get a point.

On the quality of Marie Höbinger's dramatic equaliser…

She hits them like that all of the time in training so it was a really good finish.

On how she feels her season is going from a personal point of view…

In training I'm just trying to keep pushing myself and keep improving as a young player and learning off the experienced players, trying to take in as much information as I can and try to put that into practice on the pitch.

On the help and support given to her from club captain Niamh Fahey and Gemma Bonner…

Definitely and they are always helping me. Their communication, everything they say to me when I ask them anything, I look up to them a lot. When I was younger I used to watch them play and to play alongside them is amazing.

On what manager Beard has told her…

I'm a player that likes to express myself going forward. Just being confident in myself, looking to go forward and attack, just show my qualities, and hopefully I can do that.

On what the loan spell away in Scotland with Hibs did for her…

It was a really good experience for me and it was one I needed. To get away from home and learn a bit about myself was important and as a player as well it has helped me a lot for this season.

On her burning desire to succeed at LFC Women and become a regular in the future years…

This is where I want to be. I want to keep pushing in every training session and every day.

On Sunday's cup clash with London City Lionesses…

We are looking forward to it. We know it's going to be a tough game and cup games are always hard, but we want to go out there, play our game and hopefully get through to the next round. There's a lot to play for and we want to go as far as we can in the FA Cup.

On the fantastic support of the fans who travel in their droves to support the team home and away…

Their support is massive to us and we love having them at the games. It's just great to have them there and it's like having an extra player.
