Katie Stengel scored for NJ/NY Gotham FC and four of Liverpool's young players were in competitive action for their loan clubs across the weekend.

Stengel, who is undertaking a temporary spell in the USA before the 2023-24 campaign begins for Liverpool FC Women, opened the scoring in the 16th minute of a 2-0 win over North Carolina Courage.

Collecting a loose ball at the edge of the opposition penalty area, the striker kept her cool to slide a left-footed finish into the bottom corner. And Stengel was later voted Player of the Match.
