Fidel O'Rourke was part of the FC Halifax Town squad that lifted the FA Trophy on Sunday.

The on-loan Liverpool striker was on the bench for the competition’s final at Wembley, which his team won 1-0 against Gateshead.

O’Rourke joined Halifax Town in February, with that move coming after he spent the first half of 2022-23 at Caernarfon Town.

Elsewhere over the weekend, Leighton Clarkson provided an assist from a corner kick for Aberdeen, who were overturned 2-1 at Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

In the same division, Luke Chambers was involved throughout a 1-0 loss for 10-man Kilmarnock at home to St. Johnstone.

Lucy Parry featured the whole of Hibernian Ladies’ 2-1 win away at Partick Thistle to conclude their Scottish Women’s Premier League campaign.

Sepp van den Berg played 90 minutes for Schalke 04 in their 2-2 Bundesliga draw at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Schalke are currently one point away from safety ahead of the season’s final round of fixtures next Saturday, when they travel to RB Leipzig.

There was disappointment for Conor Bradley and Bolton Wanderers as a 1-0 defeat at Barnsley saw them lose their League One play-off semi-final 2-1 on aggregate.

Anderson Arroyo featured as a second-half substitute as Alaves beat Malaga 2-1.

Alaves sit in third place in Spain’s Segunda Division, one point outside the automatic promotion spots ahead of the last matchday this coming weekend.
