Attacker Koumas was sent on from the bench on the hour mark of Stoke’s Championship meeting with Hull City away from home on Saturday.
And the Welshman’s ball across the area was converted by Andrew Moran to secure a 2-1 comeback win for the Potters.
“Big away win and happy to assist the winner,” the 19-year-old posted on social media afterwards. “Travelling fans were unreal today.”
Elsewhere in the division, Owen Beck played the whole of Blackburn Rovers’ 2-1 victory against Preston North End at Ewood Park the previous evening.
North of the border, Calvin Ramsay was a late introduction from the bench for Kilmarnock as they claimed a 1-0 Scottish Premiership win over Dundee United, for whom Luca Stephenson played 70 minutes.
