- Injuries
Conor Bradley
Bradley underwent surgery on a significant knee injury he suffered away at Arsenal in January.
Andoni Iraola on September 14: "I think he is not close to training with the team. He's training alone but he has started touching the ball. Definitely I want him as quick as possible ready but it's a long-term injury."
Federico Chiesa
The Italian is expected to resume team training later in September after an injury sustained in pre-season.
Iraola on September 3: "I think even Fede should be [back in training] around those dates [of the international break]."
Hugo Ekitike
The French forward, who ruptured his Achilles tendon back in April, has been included in Liverpool's squad for the Champions League league phase.
Iraola on September 11: "I think it's difficult with these long-term injuries, I think he's still far [away]. But we had a meeting with the medical department to analyse when we completed the [squad] list for the European games. There is a reasonable chance that he could help us in the last two games of the group stages.
"But it's still very early to say. It's very early because it's a long-term injury [and] a big part of the rehab [he] is still to meet. But if we decide to put him there, it is because there is a hope and there is a realistic chance that he could help us in January."
Giovanni Leoni
It is planned for Leoni, who has not played since September 2025 due to an ACL injury – to be back in team training with the squad during the September/October international break.
Iraola on September 3: "I think the plan is also to start training during the break, with the group."
