This will be the 200th meeting of the clubs in all competitions, with Liverpool ahead 95-53.

Liverpool have lost just one of their last 22 Premier League home matches against Manchester City (won 14, drawn seven).

Since 2022, the Reds have won all eight of their Premier League games at Anfield in the month of February.

Arne Slot's men have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League fixtures (won five, drawn six) and are unbeaten in six at Anfield since the loss to Nottingham Forest in November.

Since the start of last season, only three teams have picked up more points from losing positions in the Premier League than Liverpool (28), while only Brighton & Hove Albion have scored more goals in games when they have conceded the first goal.

Hugo Ekitike has scored or assisted every 112 minutes in the Premier League this season (10 goals, two assists in 1,342 minutes), the best ratio by a Red in their first season at the club since Mohamed Salah in 2017-18 (32 goals, 10 assists – one every 70 minutes).

Ekitike's brace against Newcastle United took him to 10 Premier League goals this season. At 23 years and 225 days old, he is the youngest player for Liverpool to reach double figures in a league season since Michael Owen in 2000-01 (21 years and 138 days).

Fifteen of Liverpool's last 20 Premier League goals against Manchester City have been either scored (nine) or assisted (six) by Salah.

The Egyptian has been involved in more Premier League goals against Sunday's opponents (15) than any other player in the competition's history.

Since joining Liverpool, only against Manchester United (22) has Salah been directly involved in more goals across all competitions than against City (21 – 13 goals, eight assists).

Salah's assist for the goal Florian Wirtz scored against Newcastle was his 152nd Premier League goal involvement at Anfield (107 goals, 45 assists), the outright most by a player at a specific venue in the competition's history.

Two goals for Cody Gakpo would see him reach 50 for the club in all competitions.

Despite losing just one of their last 12 Premier League games (won seven, drawn four), Man City have won just one of their last six (drawn four, lost one).

Guardiola's team are the only Premier League side in 2026 so far who have not conceded a single goal in the first half of a match, scoring six times themselves. However, they are also the only side who have not scored a second-half goal yet, conceding six times.

Antoine Semenyo has scored three Premier League goals against Liverpool, with all three coming at Anfield – including a brace on this season's opening night for AFC Bournemouth. Semenyo could become the first player to score against Liverpool for two different sides in a single Premier League campaign.

Erling Haaland has netted four goals in nine career appearances against Liverpool. However, only one of those goals has come at Anfield, scoring for Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League in October 2019.
