MatchLiverpool v Everton: WSL stats to know ahead of Merseyside derby
The Reds were 3-2 winners over Everton back in March and could win consecutive WSL games against the Toffees for the first time since a run of three across 2013 and 2014.
The Blues have won each of their last five WSL away matches with Liverpool, their joint-longest run away to an opponent in the competition (also Aston Villa).
Liverpool have scored seven goals in the WSL this season, more than they managed across their opening 10 matches last term (six); excluding the 2017 Spring Series, it is the Reds’ outright best goal tally three games into a WSL campaign.
Only Manchester City (11), Chelsea (10) and Arsenal (10) have won more WSL games in 2026 than Everton (seven – level with Tottenham Hotspur), who could win three league matches in a row for the second time this calendar year (four in a row in February), something they managed only once between 2021 and 2025.
Only Chelsea (56) and Arsenal (44) have recorded more high turnovers than Liverpool in the 2026-27 WSL (39), who on matchday three became the first team to record 15+ high turnovers against Manchester City in a league match since Everton (16) in November 2025.
Everton’s two league wins this season have come courtesy of own goals, already becoming the only team in WSL history to win two matches 1-0 via an own goal in the same season. Overall, no team have won three games in a WSL campaign with an own goal deciding the affair each time.
Liverpool’s Vivien Endemann is the first player in WSL history to score and assist in two of her first three appearances, doing so on matchday one and matchday three. The last players to reach five or more goal involvements within their first four top-flight appearances were Caitlin Foord (six) and Alessia Russo (five) in 2020-21.
