MatchLiverpool v Crystal Palace: Team news
Arne Slot's champions host the Eagles at Anfield on Sunday in a 4pm BST kick-off ahead of lifting the Premier League trophy.
Gomez - who has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury since mid-February - has taken further steps towards being back on the pitch in recent weeks.
The No.2 was included in Liverpool's matchday squad at Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday following a return to full training, and is now hopeful of getting game time in the clash with Palace.
"Last weekend he was there with the team but was not able to play yet," Slot said of Gomez's fitness during his pre-match press conference.
"He didn't tick all the boxes yet, but I think there was a spot open, so it was for me a moment where I could show my gratitude towards him to show what he's done on the pitch for us, but also off the pitch for us."
The boss added: "He has had more impact on our success than the outside world might probably know. I am hoping he can make some minutes [on Sunday] if he ticks all the boxes this week."
Alexis Mac Allister, meanwhile, is the only Liverpool player unavailable for selection after previously being ruled out for the remainder of the season.
In opposition, Emirates FA Cup winners Palace will be without defender Marc Guehi and midfielder Adam Wharton for the trip north to Merseyside.
Full-back duo Ben Chilwell and Nathaniel Clyne are also both ill and are doubtful for the fixture.
"Marc can't play," head coach Oliver Glasner told his pre-match press conference. "He's also not been called up for England [due to this]. His eye needs a rest. He can't do anything at the moment.
"He really just needs to rest and can't play. Adam, of course, definitely can't play with his concussion.
"And we have Nathaniel Clyne and Ben Chilwell who are struggling with illness. But all the others in the squad are fit and ready to play at Anfield."
On facing Liverpool, he added: "Now we want to show it again, our standards, and at Anfield, so we are looking forward to this game.
"It's when the league winner meets the FA Cup winner - it's a great ending of the season. Also big congratulations to Liverpool and Arne Slot for an amazing season and a well-deserved title."
