Liverpool have lost just one of their nine Premier League home games against Burnley (won six, drawn two) so far, though that defeat did come in the January of the only previous season they faced them as reigning champions (0-1 in 2020-21).

Since that 1-0 loss at Anfield five years ago, the Reds have won the six top-flight clashes between the clubs by an aggregate score of 12-1.

Having won 1-0 at Turf Moor earlier this season, Liverpool are aiming for a third consecutive league double over Burnley, their seventh in the Premier League era and ninth in history.

There have been only three goalless draws in 93 league fixtures involving the clubs, the last in 1975. Only one was at Anfield, which occurred in December 1920.

Only Brentford (13) have scored more top-flight league goals from the 76th minute than Liverpool's 12 this term.

Burnley have scored 11 goals in 19 Premier League games against Liverpool (0.6 per match), only averaging fewer against Arsenal among sides they have faced more than twice (0.5, nine goals in 19 games).

Of players with at least 50 take-ons attempted in the Premier League this season, Florian Wirtz has the highest success rate (54 per cent - 27/50), while he is one of only five players to have created 30+ chances from open play in 2025-26 (31).

Liverpool have spent the largest proportion of their time building up against low blocks in the Premier League this season (25 per cent), while only Sunderland (28 per cent) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (23 per cent) have spent a larger proportion of time in a low block during opposition build-up than Burnley (22 per cent).

Burnley are winless in their last 12 league matches (drawn three, lost nine), last going longer without a league victory in the top flight from August to October 1970 (14 matches) – the 13th game of which was a 2-0 defeat away to Liverpool.

The Clarets have scored the fixture's opening goal on four of their last seven visits to Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk made more line-breaking passes than any other player in the Reds' last Premier League game, against Arsenal (16). Overall in this campaign, only Marcos Senesi (110) has made more line-breaking passes into the final third than the Dutchman's 98.

Burnley have lost eight of their 10 away Premier League games this season (won one, drawn one), with their only win on the road coming at Wolves in October (3-2).

The Clarets have lost 11 of their last 12 Premier League games against reigning champions, including each of the last six in a row.

Goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is the only player to start every league match for Scott Parker's charges this season.
