Liverpool are edging closer to a move for Georgia international Giorgi Mamardashvili as they prepare for a long-term reshuffle of their first-team goalkeeper personnel.

The Reds are considering a deal for the 23-year-old, who is available for around £30million from Spanish side Valencia.

However, it is unlikely to involve the player moving to Anfield this summer, with Liverpool exploring a number of different options should they press ahead with their interest.
