Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Hungary under-21 international Armin Pecsi as they continue an overhaul of their goalkeeping options.

The Reds have been in talks with Pecsi's club Puskas Akademia FC over a fee that could reach £1.5million - a club record fee for the Hungarian top-flight team.

Pecsi has been a regular for Puskas Akademia this season and made 36 appearances in all competitions as they finished second in the table behind Robbie Keane's Ferencvaros.
