Media watchLiverpool sound out Southampton over £50m signing of Romeo Lavia

Liverpool are the latest side to join the race for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, joining Arsenal in enquiring about the teenager.

Lavia joined Saints from Manchester City last summer and impressed in his first full Premier League season despite the club's relegation to the Championship.

The 19-year-old is now expected to leave the club and has been the subject of interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
