It has been suggested in Germany that the Reds are one of a number of European clubs tracking the defender, who captained Stuttgart in the Bundesliga this season and is part of Germany’s Euro 2024 squad.
Across a stellar campaign, Anton missed just one game in the German top flight, helping his side to a second-placed finish, with only winners Bayer Leverkusen boasting a superior defensive record.
Anton is reported to have a release clause in his contract though it is believed that interest is also held in the player from both Borussia Dortmund and Leverkusen in his home nation.
