NewsLiverpool qualification for 2025-26 Champions League confirmed
After results elsewhere in the Premier League today, the Reds are mathematically certain of a top-five finish at a minimum in the division this season, and with it another tilt at the European Cup in 2025-26.
Each of the sides placed from first to fifth in England's top flight this term will qualify for the Champions League, after Premier League clubs' performances in UEFA competitions in 2024-25 earned an extra spot.
The league phase for the next edition will begin with matchday-one fixtures from September 16 to September 18, concluding with simultaneous games on January 28, 2026.
The draw for the league phase is scheduled for August 28.
The knockout stages are due to get under way in February next year and the competition will culminate in a final at Puskas Arena in Budapest on May 30, 2026.
Arne Slot's side are, of course, aiming to secure the Premier League title this season and host West Ham United next up at Anfield on Sunday.
