Liverpool are in talks to sign a central defender, but they won't immediately be able to assist Arne Slot's first team plans.

The Reds are looking to the future and are reportedly in the process of agreeing a deal to land Ifeanyi Ndukwe from Austria Vienna.

The Austria youth international, 17, cannot join the Reds in the coming weeks as he does not turn 18 until March.
