Liverpool have made an improved offer for 19-year-old Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The Saints rejected Liverpool's opening bid of around £35m plus add ons last week and are reportedly holding out for a £50m fee.

Premier League clubs have been sniffing around the ex-Man City midfielder after a standout debut campaign in the division with Jurgen Klopp's side the frontrunners to capture his signature.
