Liverpool are leading the race to sign Dominik Szoboszlai with the Reds pushing for a deal to be completed imminently.

Earlier in the week, it had been reported that the Reds were in talks with RB Leipzig over a transfer, but that they faced 'difficulties' in getting a deal over the line. Now, negotiations appear to have picked up pace, with a £60million transfer in the works, as the Reds look to beat Newcastle to the signing of the talented Hungarian playmaker.

Having joined from sister-team Red Bull Salzburg in 2021, he has since become an important player, making 31 Bundesliga appearances in the 2022-23 season, scoring six goals and earning eight assists. He also played a key role in winning the DFB Pokal.
