However, any attempt to sign the Frenchman will not be cheap, with Mbappe commanding a bumper weekly wage and a huge signing fee. Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old and he was expected to end up at the Bernabeu next season.
However, the La Liga giants have reportedly ended their pursuit of the forward as his wage demands are simply too high. French outlet L'Equipe reported earlier this month that Liverpool are in the running to sign Mbappe, having held a longstanding interest in the forward dating back to 2017.
