The draw for the next stage of the competition - which sees Premier League and Championship teams enter - was announced on Friday.
The Reds, four-time Youth Cup winners, were paired with Charlton and will play the match at home.
Third-round ties are due to be played by Saturday December 13. Fixture details will be confirmed on Liverpoolfc.com in due course.
