Liverpool have reportedly opened negotiations to land Cody Gakpo, with the forward likely to leave PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window.

Gakpo, 22, has racked up six goals and 10 assists in 14 league starts for PSV this term and is considered to be among the brightest emerging talents in Eredivisie football.

The attacker has also proven himself on the international stage, making his senior Netherlands debut at Euro 2020 and scoring his first goal for his country during the side’s World Cup qualifying win over Montenegro.
