Liverpool FC would like to update supporters on the matchday changes as a result of the latest government COVID-19 safety proposals.
The immediate impact is that anyone attending the Aston Villa match on Saturday December 11 must wear a face covering in all indoor spaces unless exempt. This became mandatory as of today (Friday December 10). Please make club stewards aware if you are exempt from wearing a face covering. Indoor spaces at Anfield include concourses, retail store, and museum and tours.
There will be no other changes for supporters attending the Villa match.
Fans are reminded that COVID-19 certification spot checks are still in operation at home games and have been since October. Fans therefore need to be prepared to show their COVID-19 status and certifications if asked on entry to Anfield.
Information relating to the Newcastle United fixture on Thursday December 16 and proceeding home games will be released next week, pending additional Premier League and government advice.
