Liverpool FC to mark 37th anniversary of Hillsborough

The women's team will pay their respects at the Adobe Women's FA Cup quarter-final away at Charlton Athletic on Sunday (April 5).

A period of silence will be observed before kick-off (2.30pm BST) and the Reds will wear black armbands at The Valley.

Further tributes will follow from the men's team when they face Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday April 14.

Players will observe a period of silence before kick-off (8pm BST) and wear black armbands.

A mosaic will be displayed on the Kop in remembrance of the 97 supporters who lost their lives as a result of the events at the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on April 15, 1989.

A commemorative edition of the matchday programme will be produced and tributes will also appear on the LED boards surrounding the pitch.

Education sessions will take place across the club for staff, men's, women's and Academy teams.

On Wednesday April 15, the day of the 37th anniversary, players and staff across LFC will fall silent at 3.06pm BST in memory of those who lost their lives.

The anniversary is a significant and poignant date in the club's history, one that brings everyone together in remembrance of the 97, and in shared support for their families, the survivors and all those impacted by Hillsborough.
