Liverpool FC welcomed staff and guests at Anfield for a meaningful Iftar, bringing people together to break fast as part of Ramadan.

Attendees who were not observing Ramadan were invited to fast during the day before joining for Iftar and collective prayer, celebrating community, reflection and connection.

The evening built on previous interfaith events at Anfield as part of Red Together, the club's commitment to champion equality, diversity and inclusion, and underlines the club's commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and embracing the communities it serves.

Rishi Jain, director of impact at LFC, reflected on the significance of the evening by saying: "Bringing colleagues and community members together in this way has been really special. Ramadan is a time of reflection, compassion and unity and it was inspiring to see those values come to life here at the club.

"Through Red Together, we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and included. Events like Iftar not only show respect to the Muslim community but also give us the chance to learn from one another and strengthen the inclusive culture at LFC."

As part of Ramadan this year, the club's ethnicity network developed a workplace toolkit to support colleagues observing the holy month, while men's player Hugo Ekitike shared what Ramadan means to him across club channels.
