AnnouncementLiverpool FC expands current partnership with Sorare
LFC first joined forces with Sorare last year, launching digital cards of first-team players – including Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk – on Sorare’s platform.
This latest deal will see Liverpool FC collaborate with Sorare on multimedia fan content and release new unique experiences for Reds fans and Sorare’s managers.
All LFC stars will continue to be available as digital cards in Sorare’s fantasy game for fans, collectors and players to collect, trade and compete with.
The first-of-its-kind partnership will also provide enhanced opportunities for Liverpool FC to engage new fans across the globe through Sorare, which has users in 185 countries.
Sports collectibles have long helped fans celebrate their love of football and with Sorare they can now experience a new world of online fandom, where they can own and manage cards of their favourite players and hone their passion for the game.
The exclusive partnership is the latest in a series of major milestones for Sorare, which now has more than two million users worldwide and 280+ partnering sports organisations – including La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Major League Baseball.
Ben Latty, commercial director at Liverpool FC, said: “At Liverpool Football Club, we’re always striving to pioneer new technologies for our supporters, with the aim of enhancing their fan experience and making them feel as connected as possible to this club.
“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Sorare and go further in bringing exciting new initiatives to our fans.”
Michael Meltzer, head of business development at Sorare, added: “Liverpool FC is one of the world’s most iconic and prestigious clubs; a footballing juggernaut with unparalleled history and one of the largest and most passionate fanbases in the sport.
“We’re beyond excited to expand our partnership with such an historic club that is just as committed to innovating to bring authentic experiences to their fans as we are.
“Thanks to this exclusive deal, fans from across the globe will be able to use Sorare to get even closer to the Reds they love – from Virgil van Dijk to Trent to Thiago.”
