AnnouncementLiverpool FC adds club executives to its board of directors
Jenny Beacham, LFC’s chief financial officer, and Jonathan Bamber, LFC's chief legal and external affairs officer, will join the board from today. Beacham is the first woman to join the club’s board under Fenway Sports Group’s stewardship.
After 13 years’ outstanding service, managing director Andy Hughes will retire from LFC at the end of the season and will step down from the board.
Among his other duties, Hughes is the director fulfilling the legal and regulatory requirement for board-level engagement with the club’s Supporters Board. Bamber will assume that responsibility by joining the board of directors.
These changes will also see Billy Hogan, chief executive officer, come off the board. Hogan will remain CEO of LFC, a position he has held since 2020, and Fenway Sports Group International. He will continue with his responsibilities as director of other FSG entities within the group structure.
The LFC board of directors will therefore comprise:
- John W. Henry (principal owner)
- Tom Werner (chairman)
- Mike Gordon (president)
- Mike Egan (director)
- Jonathan Bamber (chief legal and external affairs officer)
- Jenny Beacham (chief financial officer)
- Sir Kenny Dalglish (non-executive director)
Announced last month, Beacham was appointed to the board of Liverpool FC Women, while Bamber joined the board of LFC Foundation. Both have more than 15 years’ service at the club.
